Reina Dorado
Author / Blogger
Reina Dorado writes the kind of stories that live somewhere between what people say out loud and what they probably should’ve kept to themselves.
Drawn to complicated people, complicated relationships, and the choices we make when life gets messy, Reina writes urban and contemporary fiction that doesn’t always give readers an obvious hero, villain, right answer, or easy way out. Her stories explore love, loyalty, survival, family, desire, consequences, and all those little decisions that somehow turn into really big ones.
She is the author behind works including Déjà Vu, I Don’t Exactly Remember…, The Patch Chronicles, Funny Thing Is…, and other stories currently being developed through Dorado Books.
But books aren’t the only place Reina has something to say.
She is also the voice behind All I’m Sayin’ Is…🫦, her blog at AllImSayinIs.com, where everyday life, motherhood, relationships, getting older, figuring yourself out, and whatever else happens to be on her mind are all fair game.
Basically... she writes like she talks.
Sometimes thoughtful. Sometimes funny. Sometimes a little uncomfortable.
But always real.
Reina also helped establish Dorado Books, an independent publishing home created to make room for distinctive voices, original stories, and books that have something meaningful to leave behind. Through Dorado Books, she is helping build a space where storytelling can entertain us while still making us think, feel, question, remember—and hopefully talk to one another.
Because Reina doesn’t believe every story needs to tell you what to think.
Sometimes a good story just needs to give you something worth thinking about.
Welcome to the stories of Reina Dorado.🌿
