There are some people we remember because of what happened.

I Don’t Exactly Remember… 

is a story about two grown people

who have done what grown people are supposed to do.

They built lives.

They made choices.

They love their spouses.

They love their families.

They get up in the morning, go to work, wash dishes, answer questions,

come home, climb into bed beside the people they chose

and continue doing all the ordinary things that make up a life.

And somewhere in the middle of all that ordinary…

there is still each other.

Not an affair.

Not some secret life they have built behind everybody else's backs.

Just a feeling neither one of them has ever quite figured out what to do with.

A love that never got enough time to become what it might have been

— but somehow got enough time to become something neither of them could completely forget.

And maybe that's the part that makes it complicated.

Because sometimes loving the life you have doesn't erase the life you once imagined.

Sometimes being happy doesn't mean there isn't an ache.

Sometimes doing the right thing doesn't make the feeling go away.

Sometimes you just learn how to carry it.
